‘waiting spaces’ – a
definition that comes from their main characteristic of standing empty or
unused, and therefore waiting, while their immediate surroundings are growing,
evolving and being used.’
Similar to the
transition spaces in ‘Urbanization without density’ it can be seen as unused
spaces and at the same time it is full of potential for development. These
spaces can be designed to be portable architecture which allows for temporary
shelter or usage. Society should be involved in the development of these
infrastructures by adding cultural value to the site.
